Adele is one of the first two classic style 70-foot sailing yachts developed and designed by Hoek Design Studio and they featured a classic hull shape, wing keels and fork rudders. From its foundations, Hoek Design has designed custom and semi-custom yachts in a wide range of styles and sizes, ranging from Truly Classic, like Adele, to ultra-modern.Almost 10 years after she changed ownership, Adele returned to the Netherlands for a major refit in Huisfit where the famous refit division of the Royal Huisman shipyard resides, to prepare for a new and intense crossing in the Pacific. The overhaul work included; maintenance of the propulsion system, generators and other on-board systems, replacement of batteries, as well as updating and replacement of navigation and communication system electronics. It is currently docked in Newport, United States. Adele sails paired with her faithful Stargazer, a 23-meter motor cruiser built by Claseen Shipyard. This large support ship is ideal for carrying guests ashore and serving to reach shallower cruising areas as well as accommodating extra crew and guests. It can cover 900 nautical miles at 15 knots and reach 25 knots at maximum power.Adele sails at 11 knots and reaches a top speed of 13.5 knots. It can accommodate up to 10 guests followed by a crew of 7.
