In tribute to this unique collaboration in the sailing sector, a brand new Omega Speedmaster model was launched.

Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Alinghi is a watch that demonstrates the same values ​​and qualities shared by both partners.

As explained by Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of Omega: "The new watch speaks of two great Swiss brands that combine their passion for innovation and sailing."

The choice of the Speedmaster perfectly reflects the concept that links watchmaking to fast boats. The manual winding movement is ideal for regatta ship crews thanks to its lighter and thinner design. To characterize the watch and make it unique, Omega was inspired by Alinghi’s new TF35 catamaran.
Using laser processing, the dial has been given a honeycomb effect, similar to the inside of the carbon hull of the Alinghi boat.

The colors are reminiscent of those of the brand: red to represent the passion and black for technology. These also stand out in the composition of the perforated black and red rubber strap, as well as in the 44.25 mm case in black zirconium oxide ceramic. Along with a Super-LumiNova tachymeter scale, the exterior design also stands out for the Alinghi logo on the stop / start button, which was created in red paint.
