The "Energy / Environment" award was presented to Perini Navi at the Yacht Club of Monaco for the first edition of the Mdo.Montecarlo Prize 2019. The jury, which also includes the Swiss architect Mario Botta, commented: "A mini superyacht built to meet the requests of its expert owners Perini Navi. Born as an extension of a 50 m Perini Navi sailing yacht, the 25 m Eco-Tender reflects the elegant appearance, the feeling of quality and the luxury comfort of the mother ship. The beating heart of this mini superyacht is its flexible propulsion system that offers four distinct driving modes: diesel-mechanical, hybrid, diesel-electric and zero emissions ".The drawings of Franco Romani, Perini Navi’s design manager, gave birth to a 26-meter eco-tender entirely in aluminum with a dark blue hull, topped with a white superstructure and with a low, tapered profile. The interior, with a contemporary style, has a dining room and a kitchen on the main deck, while below deck are the accommodations for up to six guests, divided into a full-beam VIP suite, a double cabin in the bow and a third double cabin with single beds, all with private bathroom.A pair of 1,627 HP engines coupled with Hamilton Hm531 water jets allow the tender to reach a maximum speed of 30 knots and to navigate 1,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of eight knots.
