the Olympic Yacht Show, a new event in the Mediterranean

Plans have been announced for a new nautical event, the Olympic Yacht Show, which will be held from 1 to 4 October 2020 in Marina Sounio, located about 75 km southeast of central Athens. The event is organized by a joint venture between ONDECK Events, an arm of the publishing house ONDECK, and Olympic Marine SA based at the marina.

The Yacht Show is under the auspices of the Minister of the Hellenic Ministry of Maritime and Islands Policy.

Organisers of the Olympic Yacht Show said: "The goal is to create a productive communication platform for medium and large yacht categories. The event will cover a full range of yachts, including new vessels over 14m(46ft)." the organisers added: "It is the only event in Greece with a clear focus towards mega yachts and businesses active in this category. Leading companies will make their presence felt both on land and at sea."

Gerasimos Gerolimatos, head of ONDECK, explained that: "In collaboration with the industry leaders and the people of Olympic Marine SA, the 1st Olympic Yacht Show aims to become a think tank for professionals and owners and, of course, a link to the international arena."

The organisers stressed that the appropriate health and hygiene standards will be fully respected with regard to the COVID_19 pandemic. On July 1st, Greece will also restart all tourist operations to safely accommodate travelers from all over the world with specific health protocols that ensure the well-deserved serenity of tourists.
